Warman City Hall

Three incumbent councillors will be joined by three newcomers at the Warman City Council table following the civic election November 9, according to unofficia lelection results.

Incumbents Kevin Tooley, Richard Beck and Trevor Peterson were re-elected to council. They will be joined by new councillors Marshall Seed, Doug Ramage and Tracey Johnson.

Warman Mayor Gary Philipchuk, a former councillor, was elected by acclamation at the close of nominations in October. He takes over the job from Sheryl Spence, who chose not to seek re-election.

Tooley received the most votes in the election, with 628 cast in his direction. He was followed by Beck at 563, Peterson at 540, Seed at 520, Ramage at 504 and Johnson at 480.

There were 12 candidates for the six council  seats. The other candidates included Tracey Buechler (474 votes), Ivan Gabrysh (420 votes), Glenn Murray (295 votes), Jarrett Toffan (219 votes), Glenn Gareau (148 votes) and Michel Malo (137 votes).
