There will be some familiar faces on Martensville City Council for the next four years, according to official poll results released by civic election officials.

All five incumbent city councillors who stood for re-election, including Jaime Martens, Tyson Chillog, Michael Cox, Darren MacDonald, and Debbie McGuire, were returned to office for another term in the November 9 civic election.

They will be joined by one new councillor, Spencer Nikkel.

Martensville Mayor Kent Muench was re-elected by acclamation at the close of nominations in October.

Martens received the most votes in the election for the six-seat council at 496. Chillog was next at 487, followed by Cox with 461, MacDonald at 459, McGuire at 443, and Spencer with 389.

The other candidates included: Matthew Stavenow (304 votes), Travis Sorenson (217 votes), Keith Murray (208 votes) and Adam Hartle (128 votes).
