There will be one new councillor at the RM of Corman Park decision-making table following the November 9 municipal election, according to official results.
Colin Vaandrager was elected by a 17-vote margin over fellow candidate Darrell Reddekopp in Division 7. Vaandrager received 81 votes to Reddekopp’s 64 votes.
In the other election in Corman Park, incumbent John Germs came out ahead of challenger Aaron Bradford in Division 1. There were 98 votes cast for Germs while 45 votes went to Bradford.
Corman Park Reeve Judy Harwood was re-elected by acclamation at the close of nominations in October. Also re-elected by acclamation at that time were Division 3 incumbent councillor Lyndon Haduik and incumbent Division 5 councillor Art Pruim.
Longtime Division 7 councillor Joanne Janzen opted not to seek re-election.
