The next Prairie Spirit School Division (PSSD) board of trustees meeting later this month will have a decidedly new look.
Five of the 11 trustees are rookies, including Kate Kading, Christa-Ann Willems, Angela Bothner, Grace Wudrick and Adin Dereniwski.
They will join incumbent trustees Pam Wieler , Ken Crush, Bernie Howe, Dawn Badrock, Bonnie Hope and Kimberly Greyeyes at the PSSD decision-making table.

Wieler represents Subdivision 1, which includes the communities of Blaine Lake, Laird, Leask, and Waldheim, as well as the Green Leaf, Leask and Riverbend Hutterite Colonies. She was elected by acclamation at the close of nominations in October.
Kading won a two-way race for PSSD Subdivision 2, which includes Duck Lake, Hague and Rosthern.. The other candidate in the election was incumbent Trina Miller.
Incumbent Ken Crush was re-elected by acclamation to represent PSSD Subdivision 3, which includes the communities of Borden and Langham.

Christa-Ann Willems, a former town councillor in Dalmeny, was elected in a two-way race to represent PSSD subdivision 4, which includes Dalmeny, Hepburn, Osler, Asquith, Perdue and the Eagle Creek and Sunnydale Colonies. She edged out incumbent trustee George Janzen in the November 9 election.
Incumbent Bernie Howe was returned in a three-way race to represent Subdivision 6, which includes Delisle, Pike Lake, Vanscoy and the Willow Park Colony. The other candidates in the election were Shannon Wright and Terry Brown.
Incumbent Dawn Badrock was re-elected by acclamation to represent Subdivision 7, which includes Clavet, Dundurn, Hanley, South Corman Park and the Hillcrest Colony.
Grace Wudrick won a two-way election to represent Division 8, an area that includes Aberdeen, Allan, Colonsay and the Riverview and Lost River Colonies. The other candidate in the election was Crystal Rinas.
Incumbent Bonnie Hope was returned to the PSSD board to represent Subdivision 9, the City of Martensville. After initially indicating she would not seek re-election, she reconsidered after the first call for nominations did not produce any response. In the second call for nominations, five people put their names forward, including Hope. She went on to win the election over fellow candidates Ashley Elgersma, Desirae Munro, Randi Strunk and Scott McIntyre.

Newcomer Adin Dereniwski edged out PSSD board chair Sam Dyck in an election in Subdivision 10, which includes the City of Warman.
Incumbent Kimberly Greyeyes was returned by acclamation to represent Subdivision 11, the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation.
Wayne Stus, the incumbent trustee representing Subdivision 1 (Warman and Martensville) on the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) Division board, was re-elected by acclamation at the close of nominations in October.
Debbie Berscheid, the GSCS trustee representing Subdivision 2 (Humboldt) was also acclaimed, as was Bonita Elliott, the trustee representing Subdivision 3 (Biggar).
A total of 12 candidates are seeking seven GSCS board positions in the city of Saskatoon. They include: Shawn Baier, Ron Boechler, Diane Boyko, Hudson Byblow, Jim Carriere, Dana Case, Bronwynn Cutts, Tim Jelinski, Richard Kolla, Deb Sherbanuik Malasky, Blake Sittler, and Sharon Zakreski-Werbicki.
