It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michel Sylvain Proulx.
Michel (Mike) was surrounded by his family as he lost his long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 68 on August 8, 2025.
Michel was born in Chelmsford Ontario, on May 29, 1957, to Aline and Conrad Proulx. He was the eldest of five children. Michel attended school in Azilda Ontario for his elementary and high school years and then graduated from Cambrian College in Sudbury with a diploma in Geology.
Lucie and Michel married in 1980 and moved immediately to Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Lucie and Michel move to Warman in 1988 where they raised their family and reside to present.
Michel was employed by AMOK Ltd., an exploration geology company, and he moved on to work for Cameco where he retired in 2018 after twenty-seven years of service.
Michel played slow-pitch and volleyball in Warman Recreation Leagues. Michele loved hunting, fishing and camping, he was first on the scene to help friends and neighbors whatever the project. He thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and board games.
Michel is survived by his loving wife Lucie; son, Sylvain (Loretta) Proulx; daughter, Angele (Eric) Boychuk; grandchildren, Logan and Audrey Proulx; sister, Louise Proulx; brothers, Andre (Francine) Proulx and Daniel (Michel) Proulx; brother-in-laws, Paul (Lise) Morrissette and Patrick (Kim) Morrissette; sister-in-laws, Francine (Denis) Larocque, Diane (Claude) Lamontagne, Giselle Morrisette, Monique (James) O’Hare and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michel was predeceased by his father, Conrad Proulx; brother, Pierre Proulx; niece, Sophie Proulx; father-in-law, Emile Morrissette; sister-in-law, Karen Proulx; mother-in-law, Carmen Morrissette and mother, Aline Proulx.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Proulx Family wishes to express their appreciation to Home Care, to the Cancer Clinic, to St. Paul’s Palliative Care, Warman Diamond Pharmacy as well as all the health care personnel who were involved in Michel’s journey.
