On February 24 at 3:50 p.m., CPPS observed a fire at 38542 Range Road 3054. A dump truck was observed fully involved in fire. The owner stated he was doing electrical work for the back up beeper, and returned to the truck 10 minutes later, and it was on burning. Martensville Fire extinguished the truck, and no one was injured.
On February 27 at 1:22 a.m., RCMP dispatched a call from Astro Towing. They reported a potentially impaired male had requested a tow for a vehicle that was stuck in the ditch north of Langham. CPPS attended and found the vehicle in the ditch with the driver sleeping inside. CPPS formed the opinion he was impaired and placed him under arrest. He provided two samples of breath with the result of 130 mgs%.
On February 26, at 3:22 p.m., CPPS assisted Warman RCMP with a ‘Be on the lookout’ (BOLO) for a Chevrolet Silverado travelling south bound from Rosthern. The Chevrolet Silverado was possibly involved in a robbery in Prince Albert that occurred earlier in the day. CPPS located a Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 12 just north of Highway 305 that matched the description.
There were two occupants of the truck initially detained for a robbery investigation. The passenger was arrested for flight and obstruction in relation to a previous CPPS file and taken to the Saskatoon RCMP detachment for processing.
On February 27 at 10:54 p.m. a vehicle approached a CPPS check stop on Township Road 372 near Range Road 3061. The driver provided a sample of his breath into the approved screening device resulting in “FAIL”, and was transported to Martensville RCMP where he provided two samples of his breath resulting in 140 mgs% and 130 mgs%. He was released with Appearance Notice for Provincial Court in April 2025.
On March 1, at 5:15 p.m., CPPS conducted a traffic stop on a black Toyota Rav4 for speeding on Highway 219 just north of Range Road 3055. CPPS formed the grounds that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
He was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance and provided two breath samples with results of 230mg% twice. He was released on an appearance notice for court in April 2025.
