On September 30 at 12:27 p.m., Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) executed a traffic stop after observing the passenger not wearing his seat belt. A CPIC check revealed the name with the date of birth (DOB) provided was a possible alias.  He was detained for obstruction to confirm his identity. When exiting from the vehicle a bottle of vodka fell out and onto the ground. The male became quite agitated and began actively resisting and attempted to flee. As a result he was physically restrained and placed in the back of the patrol car. He was transported to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment and charged with Resist Arrest, Assault Police Officer and Mischief.

A Corman Park resident contacted CPPS regarding a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting at an entrance way to his pasture at Range Road (RR) 3053 and Township Road (TWP) 381. A CPIC query revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the City of Saskatoon. The vehicle was towed for possible Ident Services. The complainant was advised and thanked for calling.

On September 25 at approximately 9:31 p.m., CPPS observed a vehicle travelling west on Grasswood Road from Jemini hockey arena. The truck swerved in the ditch and back on to the road multiple times. A traffic stop was conducted where police formed the opinion that the driver had alcohol in his body. He provided a sample breath in to the ASD which had the result of FAIL. The driver was transported to the Martensville RCMP detachment where he provided two samples of breath which had the result of 230mg% and 220mg%. He was held until sober with a future court date.

On October 2 at 1:40 p.m., CPPS received a request for assistance from Warman RCMP to take an erratic driving complaint on Highway 7. It was reported that a semi was driving erratically on the highway, crossing the fog line on the shoulder and then crossing the center lane, concerned that the driver was possibly impaired. The vehicle was intercepted at Highway 7 and RR 3070. There was no evidence or indicators that the driver was impaired. CPPS checked log books and all supporting documents, but no infractions were found.

On October 1 at 10:25 p.m., CPPS checked a vehicle whose driver was found to be operating under the influence of cannabis on Highway 16 near TWP 374. The driver was subsequently issued a seven day driver’s  license (DL) suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days due to the fact the driver’s two-year old son was present in the vehicle.
