After week one, Saskatchewan sits in fifth place in the medal standings with three gold, seven silver and seven bronze.
In addition to the hockey silver medal, the ringette team earned a bronze medal.
Saskatchewan took silver in both the male and female gymnastics trampoline syncho. Halle Pipko and Jamie Reschke of Regina in the female and Wilson Reimche of Saskatoon in the male competition had spectacular final routines to move into medal position.
Prud’homme’s Rhiann Arnold won bronze in the biathlon 6km sprint female event.
The rest of Saskatchewan’s medals were earned on the long track speed skating oval and in artistic gymnastics.
Saskatchewan earned a silver in mens pursuit in speed skating. Saskatoon’s Luca Veeman won gold in long track male mass start, silver in the 1500 m and bronze in the 1000m and 5000m. His teammate Bon Lowe won the silver in the 5000m.
Casa Rio’s Serena Dallaire won bronze in the 1500m and 3000m races.
In artistic gymnastics Saskatoon’s Rylee Miller won gold in the floor, silver in the beam and bronze in the uneven bars.
On the male side Saskatoon’s Jordan Carrol won gold on the pommel horse.
Week two will see “the Curling Cousins” – Hague’s Dylan Derksen and Warman’s Melissa Remeshylo compete in mixed curling.
Clavet’s Jocelyn Fiala and Beaver Creek’s Megan Hirschfeld hit the ice with the female hockey team.
Delisle’s Sebastion Turgeon will compete in fencing.
Aberdeen’s Deziree and Brooklyn Franson in judo.
Langham’s Jacob Proctor will be on the slopes snowboarding.
