The Martensville Royals recorded a decisive 60-7 road win over the host Humboldt Mohawks on Friday, October 1 to gain a stranglehold on first place in the 9-man high school football leage standings.
Martensville has a record of three wins and no losses so far this season, putting up 145 points on offence while allowing only 54 points against. The team has a bye week this week, but returns to action on Friday, October 15 when the Delisle Rebels roll in to Martensville. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
The Delisle Rebels, meanwhile, are sitting in second place in the three-team league with a record of one win and one loss. The Rebels have scored 60 points while allowing 68 points against.
The Rebels take on the Humboldt Mohawks this Friday, October 8 in Delisle. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
The Mohawks have yet to get their first win of the season. They have been outscored 60-143 by their opponents.
High school football playoffs begin in late October. The provincial championship final is slated for November 13.
