The following is the occurrence summary for Nov 16-23.
On November 18 at 3:50 p.m. the Corman Park Police observed a dark coloured Honda Civic parked near Township Road 373 and Range Road 3061.
Police observed two female occupants in the vehicle and stopped to question them. As police got close to the vehicle they observed the smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle.
The two women were questioned and admitted to smoking cannabis before police arrived. The driver surrendered a pipe and a small amount of cannabis to police.
Investigation revealed that the driver, a 29-year-old female resident of Saskatoon was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to remain at the scene of a collision. The woman was issued a ticket for the cannabis and was released on a new court date for the warrant.
On November 21 at 12:30 a.m. the Corman Park Police observed a black Chev Silverado truck parked on the side of the road on Township Road 362A near Valley Road. Police stopped to check the vehicle out and could immediately smell the odour of cannabis coming from inside the vehicle.
Police spoke with the occupants, two men in their early twenties, one from Saskatoon, the other from Vanscoy.
The men produced a small amount of cannabis upon the request of police. Subsequently, police conducted a search of the vehicle and found 5 grams of cocaine, $515 in cash and a set of brass knuckles.
The men were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibited weapon. The men were taken to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment where they were held in custody. The matter was turned over to the RCMP for further investigation.
On November 21 at 9:58 p.m. the Corman Park Police observed a Grey GMC Sierra truck being operated northbound on Highway 219 near Grasswood Road at a high rate of speed. Police clocked the vehicle at 124 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped by police and the driver, a 26-year-old male resident of Blaine Lake, denied any consumption of alcohol
The man was read a mandatory breath demand by police and he provided a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device, which resulted in a reading of FAIL. The man was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Saskatoon Detachment of the RCMP, where he provided two breath samples of 100 mgs%.
The man was released on charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol equal to or in excess of 80 mgs%.
He was released on an appearance notice and his licence was suspended and vehicle impounded. He was also charged for speeding.
On November 21 at 11:00 p.m. the Corman Park Police observed a white Ford F-250 truck traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Township Road 382 near Range Road 3053.
The truck had an illuminated light bar on the front bumper which was illegal and was tracked on radar at 103 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, a 25-year-old male resident of Saskatoon.
The man admitted to drinking two beers prior to driving while cutting up deer meat at his parent’s residence. Police read a breath demand to the man and he supplied a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device, which registered a reading of FAIL. The man was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Martensville RCMP Detachment where he provided two breath samples of 130 mgs%.
The man was held in custody for a short while before being released on charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol equal to or in excess of 80 mgs%.
He was released on an appearance notice and his licence was suspended and vehicle impounded.
