The Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce (PSCC) supports the provincial government’s “focused and strategic” regulations to curb the spread of COVID-19 while allowing businesses that are operating safely to keep their doors open.

“We feel very strongly that returning to a widespread large-scale lockdown would be catastrophic to not only our region, but our province and our country,” said PSCC Executive-Director Jaimie Malmgren. “The PSCC applauds the targeted approach to address the rising case counts in localized hotspots, including province-wide mandatory mask requirements.

“We also applaud everyone in the Warman and Martensville region for acting responsibly and following the guidelines set out by our public health experts.

“As we enter the holiday season, we ask residents to support our local businesses wherever possible. Local businesses are integral to the fabric of our community.”

The PSCC is also encouraging eligible businesses and charitable organizations to apply for the newly-announced Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy. Details of the program are available online.
