The Martensville Minor Hockey Association (MMHA) has decided to pause all of its events due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases within the community.
MMHA sent out a letter to its members letting them now about the decision.
All minor hockey sanctioned events (team building, dryland training, practices, games) have been suspended. as of November 17.
The association takes its roles and responsibilities seriously, and the safety of all players, officials, coaches, volunteers and community remains the primary concern.
MMHA believes that continuing to play hockey is just too risky and this is a necessary, albeit very difficult decision.
The intention is to resume December 1, 2020 should the situation in Martensville allow that to happen.
