STARS air ambulance was called to the scene of a collision on Highway 305 early Wednesday morning after a collision between a deer involving two vehicles.

In a facebook post October 14, Warman Fire Rescue (WFR) said the collision occurred near Warman at 6:15 a.m. One vehicle struck a deer, and the impact of the collision sent the deer flying through the window of a second vehicle. The deer ended up coming through the glass into the passenger seat. One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries by STARS helicopter. WFR first responders and Medavie paramedics were on the scene.

It was the second incident WFR personnel responded to that morning. According to the WFR facebook post, firefighters were called to a “double car fire” in Warman at 1:30 am October 14. The vehicles were destroyed but there was no damage to homes.
