Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) officials are encouraging the public to make use of mental health and addiction services if they find themselves in need.
In a statement released July 15, the SHA said as people gradually return to their regular routines and work lives, they are able to access mental health and addiction services across the province..
“Mental Health and Addictions Services has remained a priority for our care teams – services were and are still available for clients seeking mental health and addiction services during COVID-19,” said the SHA.
“In the early days of COVID-19, we created access for some programs by supporting established online programs or through virtual care.
“Inpatient mental health units for both adults and children/youth remained open.
“Today, the SHA mental health teams continue to be available to support you in transitioning to our province’s new normal.
“We are transitioning back to more of our regular services ensuring the safety and well being of our patients and clients. This includes carefully increasing access to in-person appointments while also maintaining phone/virtually delivered care.
“If you need assistance, please contact the mental health intake teams for more information and supports in your area by clicking on this link and entering your location in the search function.
“You can also check the status of all your locally delivered SHA services by checking the SHA Service Resumption Site.
“Thank-you to our patients, clients and their families and clients for their understanding and patience with necessary changes put in place to ensure their physical safety during COVID-19.”
