On October 18 at 11:40 a.m., Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) was flagged down on Range Road (RR) 3054 near Beaver Creek by a female advising that her son was missing. CPPS deployed their drone and made patrols for the missing youth, which were negative. The child was later found safe inside his residence.
On October 20 at approximately 12:40 p.m., CPPS stopped a vehicle to check the vehicle registration. CPPS noticed an odor of cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the back seat. Further questioning of the occupants revealed the driver was wanted out of Saskatoon Police Service, the passenger was wanted out of multiple points and was also found to breaching a release order. The driver also displayed signs of drug impairment and submitted to an oral fluid test resulting in a positive for cocaine. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and transported to the Saskatoon RCMP where they were held for court. The passenger was charged with breaching a condition of his release order, identity fraud for initially lying about his name, and possession of a prohibited weapon. The driver also received a 3-day driver’s license suspension and a 3-day vehicle impound.
On October 21 at 12:00 a.m., CPPS received a call of an alarm at a property off of Victor Road. CPPS attended and found the residence to be secure. The alarm was confirmed to be false.
On October 21 at 3:41 p.m., CPPS performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on RR 3075 and Highway 16 after noticing a loud exhaust. The driver displayed signs of drug impairment and submitted an oral fluid sample testing positive for cannabis. The driver, who never held a driver’s license, had the vehicle he was driving impounded for 3 days.
On October 22 at approx imately 1:50 a.m., CPPS received a call of vehicle stopped at the intersection of RR 3053 and Township Road (TWP) 382 with two flat tires and the driver slumped over the steering wheel. CPPS attended and found the driver displayed signs of alcohol impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for breath samples, which resulted in readings of 170 mgs% and 160 mgs%. The driver has subsequently been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and impaired operation of a conveyance over 80 mgs%. The driver was released to a sober person.
On October 22 at 8:55 p.m., CPPS received a call of a tractor fire in the area of RR 3074 and TWP 392. CPPS attended with the Langham Fire Department, who extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to the tractor.
