The Warman U13AA Wildcats had a successful start to the season, coming out as champions in the Evan Thomas Memorial U13AA tournament. This 20-team tournament featured teams from all over Saskatchewan and ran from September 26-28 in Saskatoon. The Wildcats were undefeated all weekend, in round-robin play beating Saskatoon Thunder 8-2, Prince Albert Buckeyes 6-2, Regina Pat Blues 10-4 and West Central Wheat Kings 6-3. They beat Martensville Marauders 6-0 in the semi-final and Saskatoon Kodiaks 5-1 in the final. This marks the first time Warman has won this tournament.
