On April 10 at 12:00 noon Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) received a report of a house fire off Highway 16 and Dalmeny Road. Police attended to find the house located on Range Road (RR) 3062 and Township Road (TWP) 380 fully engulfed and Saskatoon Fire on scene. The house was not able to be saved and had extensive damage. All occupants had exited safely.

On April 13, around 2:50 a.m., a grey Dodge Ram 2500 pulling a trailer was seen turning off Highway 12 into the Cory Industrial Park. CPPS was familiar with the driver, who was suspended and impoundable. The driver was charged, his vehicle impounded and  he was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

On April 12, around 8:35 p.m., CPPS conducted a traffic stop on a blue Toyota truck for expired plates and no tail lights. The driver showed signs of impairment, providing a sample of breath roadside which resulted in a FAIL reading. He was arrested and transported for breath samples. He provided two samples of breath that resulted in readings over .08, and was charged for impaired operation and exceeding 80 mg of alcohol. The accused was released on an Appearance Notice for court in May 2025.

On April 15 at approximately 9:00 p.m., CPPS was on Circle Drive when a vehicle almost side-swiped them. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. An ASD demand resulted in WARN. The driver was issued a 30 day roadside suspension and 30 day impound. There was also an 11-year-old female in the passenger seat of the vehicle.

On April 19 at 2:35 p.m., CPPS executed a traffic stop on RR 3054 near TWP 381. The driver objected to being stopped for the violation, refusing to identify himself. During this interaction police observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and as the officer opened the driver door to recover the evidence the driver began physically fighting police to prevent him from accessing the paraphernalia. He was given verbal commands to stop obstructing and was arrested. He had to be pulled from the vehicle and taken to the ground where members were able to gain control of him. Police entered into an impaired driving investigation as he displayed signs of impairment consistent with a person under the influence of a drug. He submitted to a Field Sobriety Test to which he performed poorly. A search of the vehicle recovered six meth pipes, a bottle of assorted pills, a pack of unstamped cigarettes, and a prohibited stun gun. A can of bear mace was also recovered from a bag which contained items consistent with instruments used for B&E. He was subsequently transported to the RCMP Detachment for processing, and given an Appearance Notice to attend Saskatoon Provincial Court in May to answer to the charges.

On April 27, at 2:38 a.m., CPPS conducted a traffic stop on a black Nissan Kicks after observing a traffic violation. The driver was 14 years of age and did not have a driver’s license. He showed signs of cannabis impairment and admitted to recent cannabis use, providing a sample of oral fluid which returned a positive hit for THC. The vehicle was subsequently impounded and he was given a ride home and released to his mother.

On April 26, at 6:01 p.m., CPPS conducted a traffic stop on a grey GMC Sierra on Highway 219 at Wood Meadows Lane. Cannabis was seen in plain view in the center console area and was seized. The driver admitted to recent alcohol consumption and was read an ASD demand which returned a reading of “WARN”. The driver’s vehicle was impounded and his licence was suspended.

On April 19 at 8:04 a.m., CPPS observed a vehicle idling in the middle of TWP 372 near RR 3042 with the driver asleep behind the wheel. She was transported to the Saskatoon RCMP detachment and performed poorly for the Standard Field Sobriety Test. While retrieving personal belongings, cannabis, knives, crystal meth, and drug paraphernalia were observed and seized for destruction. She was served an unregistered vehicle ticket and an SGI impaired driving form. She claimed her falling asleep behind the wheel was a medical issue; CPPS submitted a medical review to SGI.
