The City of Warman continued its 2025 Volunteer Appreciation Awards with the presentation of the Legendary Group Award.
The award was presented to Warman Minor Soccer during the Warman City Council meeting on Monday, May 25.
The 2025 Legendary Group Award is an annual honor that recognizes a group, club or committee that has made significant long-time contributions to the community. With their combined efforts, this club has developed and implemented projects, fundraisers and/or events that have had a positive impact on our community.
In making the presentation at the council meeting, Warman Mayor Gary Philipchuk said Warman Minor Soccer has been a cornerstone of youth sport and community engagement for many years.
“Through the dedication of countless volunteers, coaches, board members and supporters, the organization has provided generations of local youth with opportunities to learn, grow and thrive through sport,” said Philipchuk. “Their efforts go far beyond the soccer field; fostering teamwork, confidence, leadership and a strong sense of belonging for players and families alike.”
Warman Minor Soccer ensures that children of all skill levels can enjoy the benefits of sport in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. The organization has consistently developed and implemented programs that strengthen recreation activities in our city.
