The City of Warman kicked off the presentation of its 2025 Volunteer Appreciation Awards with the presentation of the award for Volunteer of the Year to Erin Hoffman.

The presentation was made at a Warman City Council meeting on Monday, April 27.

The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes an individual whose efforts have made a significant impact on the development and advancement of recreational sports, arts and culture, environmental leadership, or community and social services during the previous calendar year.

Erin is a teacher at Warman Community Middle School and has been an active and dedicated member of the community for many years.  Regardless of how busy she may be or how full her schedule is, she consistently steps forward when help is needed. Erin has a genuine commitment to supporting local organizations her kids and family are involved in, and she gives her time without seeking recognition.

Over the years, Erin has taken on numerous volunteer roles that require significant time, organization, and leadership. She has served as a formal softball coach with Twin City Softball Association, helping young athletes develop their skills and love for the game while carrying forward the same guidance, encouragement and passion she received growing up while being coached by her dad.

Erin has also been a team manager for multiple Warman Minor Hockey Association teams, where she has been instrumental in ensuring seasons run smoothly for players, coaches and the player’s families. Most recently, she has further demonstrated her dedication to the community by joining the Warman Minor Hockey Association Board of Directors, taking on responsibilities to help guide the organization and to support its long-term success.

Erin’s involvement goes beyond simply filling roles; she brings reliability and a strong sense of responsibility to everything she does. Community sport and youth programs thrive because of people like Erin who donate

so much of their time and energy. Her ongoing commitment makes a meaningful difference, and she is truly deserving of recognition for her service and dedication.
