By CHIEF ROB DUTTCHEN, Corman Park Police Service

The afternoon of January 9, 2026, Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) officers observed a male walking on Highway 11 near Township Road 382. CPPS members stopped to speak with the male, who was walking with the flow of traffic — contrary to the Traffic Safety Act. The individual provided multiple false names and was subsequently arrested for obstruction. After confirming his identity, officers learned he had multiple outstanding warrants from various jurisdictions and took him into custody. He was transported to the Saskatoon RCMP detachment, where he now faces the following charges: one count of obstructing a police officer, two counts of fraudulently impersonating another to avoid arrest, one count of breaching a release order condition, and one count of breaching a probation condition. The suspect was remanded into custody pending his appearance at Saskatoon Provincial Court.

On the evening of January 9, 2026, a subject wanted on a Canada-wide warrant fled from Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) officers. The suspect vehicle was later located driving within the RM of Corman Park. CPPS members initiated a strategic follow and kept SPS members apprised of the vehicle’s movements and location. The vehicle eventually re-entered Saskatoon, where the suspect was taken into custody by SPS officers.

In the early morning hours of January 10, 2026, CPPS officers responded to a priority call regarding a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks near Highway 16 and Range Road 3041. Officers notified CN Police and attended the scene, locating a lone vehicle occupant who was extremely intoxicated. The suspect was arrested and provided breath samples more than twice the legal limit, he was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle  and driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.

On January 11, 2026, at approximately 3:20 a.m., CPPS were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision at Dalmeny Road and Auction Mart Road. CPPS and Warman RCMP officers attended and located a vehicle that had entered the ditch and struck a light pole. The driver was not injured and was issued a ticket for driving without due care and attention. Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the collision.
