On November 25 at approximately 5:00 p.m., DOCC dispatched a call of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 16 and Zimmerman Road. Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) attended and found a vehicle that had slid into a concrete boulevard while attempting to turn northbound onto Zimmerman Road. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed from the scene. The driver was not injured. Road conditions were icy at the time of the collision.

On November 28 at 2:30 p.m., DOCC dispatched a call of a semi which had slid off of the railway overpass on Highway 7 near Range Road (RR) 3063. CPPS, Warman RCMP, Saskatoon Fire Department, and Medavie Health Services West attended. The driver needed to be extracted from the semi and was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West paramedics.

On November 29 at 1:20 p.m., DOCC dispatched a call of a two-vehicle collision at the Highway 11 off-ramp onto Grasswood Road. CPPS, Saskatoon RCMP, Saskatoon Fire Department and Medavie Health Services West attended. Investigation revealed that a southbound vehicle didn’t stop at the stop sign and collided with another vehicle. One driver had minor injuries and was checked at the scene by EMS. One driver was charged with failing to obey a stop sign.

On November 29 at 3:17 p.m., CPPS stopped a vehicle on Highway 16 near Township Road (TWP) 384 to check the validity of the vehicle registration. The driver displayed signs of drug impairment and provided an oral fluid sample roadside resulting in a positive for both cannabis and cocaine. The driver subsequently had his vehicle seized for three days and his driver’s license suspended for three days.

On December 1 at 5:00 p.m., CPPS received a call of a vehicle fire on RR 3044 south of TWP 360. CPPS and Saskatoon Fire Department attended. It was determined the fire was caused by a mechanical failure. There were no injuries.

On December 2 at 9:00 a.m., CPPS received a call of a two-vehicle collision at the Highway 12 flyover at the north end of Saskatoon. CPPS attended and found a vehicle had left the Highway 12 flyover and drove onto the southbound lanes of Highway 11, hitting another vehicle. One vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. There were no injuries.

On December 3 at 1:23 a.m., CPPS stopped a vehicle at the Highway 11 and 12 junction to check the validity of the driver’s driver’s license. As the vehicle was being stopped, the driver and front seat passenger switched positions.

The original driver was found to be wanted out of the Saskatoon Police Service and was arrested. The driver was also read a mandatory approved screening device demand and provided a breath sample into a roadside screening device, resulting in an Alert.

It was learned the driver has never had a driver’s license and subsequently had her vehicle seized for three days. A passenger in the rear seat was found to have open alcohol and was issued a ticket for possession of open alcohol in a motor vehicle. The driver was released to attend Saskatoon Provincial Court on her warrants.
