On September 7 at approximately 3:20 a.m., Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) indicated on their channel that they had a black Dodge Ram fleeing from them. After the plane took over, and patrol vehicles disengaged, it continued to drive at very dangerous speeds through the city. The vehicle came North on Highway 12. CPPS spiked the vehicle at Range Road (RR) 3041 and Township Road (TWP) 393. The vehicle came to a stop one mile to the North at TWP 394. Both occupants ran from the vehicle into the field. One came out of the field following police commands. The second stayed laying down, and ASU guided police in with K9. The second occupant was taken into custody without incident in the field.
On September 5 at 4:54 p.m., Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) responded with Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) to a combine fire at SE 6 37 6 W3. A crew was combining when their JD S680 had a mechanical failure in the separator area of the combine, causing the fire to ignite. SFD extinguished the fire in good time and the combine was saved.
On September 4 at 7:22 p.m., on Highway 219 near Grasswood Road, a female was found to be operating a grey Oldsmobile under the influence of cocaine after testing positive on ADSE. She was subsequently issued a seven day licence suspension and seven day vehicle impound as per SGI, as she was operating under the influence with her two and three year old children in the vehicle.
On September 8, at 8:55 p.m., CPPS conducted a traffic stop on Circle Drive at the Highway 11 South overpass on a black Hyundai Tucson. The driver was initially arrested for obstruction as he did not provide his ID. Once in the back of the police vehicle, he admitted to recent alcohol use and smelled of beverage alcohol. An ASD demand was read and he provided a sample of his breath which read “WRN”. The vehicle was subsequently impounded for seven days as there were two children in the vehicle aged 1 and 2, and DL was suspended for 60 days.
On August 20 at 12:40 a.m., CPPS responded to a call of a male walking in the driving lane of Highway 11 near Warman. He was found to be breaching his curfew conditions out of Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) to stay inside his residence between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., as per his release order. He had previously been arrested for the same breach the night before. He was transported to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment, where he was turned over to custody of RCMP.
On September 11 at 9:30 a.m., DOCC broadcasted a single vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of TWP 382 and RR 3083, where the vehicle had hit the ditch and rolled. CPPS, EMS, STARS, Langham Fire Department, and Warman RCMP members responded. Upon arrival one person was airlifted by STARS with serious but non-life threatening injuries, two others were transported via EMS to Royal University Hospital with neck injuries. The other occupants did not require medical attention. Road conditions were extremely muddy due to heavy rain at the time.
