On July 11 at 1:16 a.m., Corman Park Police Service (CPPS) executed a traffic stop on a black GMC Sierra on Township Road (TWP) 364 near Range Road (RR) 3064 for a sobriety check on the driver. Alcoholic beverage containers were observed inside the vehicle and all occupants were requested to identify themselves, during which time one male provided a false name and was arrested for obstruction. While being placed in the back of the patrol unit, he attacked the officer in an attempt to flee. OC spray was deployed but the suspect continued to fight as he attempted to slip his handcuffs. Members were finally able to take him into custody. A search of the vehicle recovered a CEW (Taser) and bear spray. The suspect was subsequently transported to the Saskatoon RCMP Detachment where he was held in custody to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court to answer to the charges.

During that same traffic stop on July 11 at 1:16 a.m., on TWP 364 near RR 3064, the driver of the black GMC Sierra was found to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of cocaine after testing positive on ADSE. He was subsequently issued a 21 day Driver’s License (DL) suspension and seven-day vehicle impound as this was his second offence for operating under the influence

On July 12 at 3:00 p.m., CPPS received a call for service regarding an intoxicated female in Greenbryre. CPPS officers attended and located the subject of the complaint who was heavily intoxicated by a combination of drugs and alcohol. She was transported to Saskatoon RCMP cells to be held until sober.

On July 15 at 12:46 p.m., CPPS received a call for service from Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services regarding a vehicle fire on Hwy 7 west of RR 3065. The vehicle was a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500, and there was no driver at the scene. CPPS called the registered owner who stated that the vehicle had been stolen from his residence in Saskatoon. The investigation continues.

On July 19 CPPS was conducting an impaired driving check stop on Clarence Avenue and Middleton Road.  A female driver presented through the check stop with a strong smell of burnt cannabis and displayed bloodshot eyes. The driver tested positive on Drager (S/N: ARPB-0026) for Cannabis. Her DL  was suspended and their vehicle impounded for three days.

On July 19 at approximately 10:15 p.m., CPPS was conducting an impaired driving check stop at Clarence Avenue and Middleton Street. A grey GMC Canyon presented and CPPS observed the odor of beverage alcohol coming from the driver’s breath. He was about to light a cigarette and was instructed not to. CPPS made the ASD demand to the driver. After being continuously instructed, he refused. He was provided with multiple opportunities to comply and subsequently placed under arrest for failing to comply with a demand, and obstruction. He was transported to Saskatoon RCMP detachment where he was lodged in detention.

On July 22 at 10:30 p.m.,  CPPS received multiple reports of a male that was left on the side of Highway 11 near Osler. The male was located on a Conditional Sentence Order with conditions of a curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and not to consume alcohol, among other conditions. He was found to be breaching both his curfew and no alcohol conditions. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Saskatoon RCMP cells to appear in court for breach of Conditional Sentence Order allegations.

On July 18, CPPS received a complaint regarding a traffic violation where a grey four-door SUV passed a school bus while it had the stop arm extended with flashing red lights. Through investigation the driver was determined and issued a citation for failing to stop five meters from a school bus with its lights and stop arm activated.
