Rosetown hosted the CanAm Bowl XXVII on Canada Day.

Team USA won the game by a score of 70-52.

The victory gives Team USA a 22-5 record since the annual six-man high school football all-star game began back in 1997, when an American team made up of players from Montana, Nebraska, Wyoming and Texas came to Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan to play a Saskatchewan all-star team.

The tradition has continued with annual games alternating between Canada and the United States. Last year the game was hosted in Meeteetse, Wyoming.

The Canadian team is made up of all-star players from Saskatchewan and Alberta. Canada’s last win was in Wakaw in 2019 by a score of 40-29. 

Two players from Clavet, Ryan Morrison, and Clark Goebel, were on this year’s Team Canada squad.
