The Twin City Angels cruised undefeated through seven games to capture the provincial U17A girls softball championship in Regina July 4-6.
And now they’ve set their sights on winning the national title when they host the 2025 U17A Canadian Girls Fastpitch Championship in Warman July 30-August 3.
The Angels got off to a hot start at the 11-team provincial tournament in Regina, downing the Battleford Bandits 14-1 in their opening game, and edging the White Butte Storm 8-7 in their second game. They beat the Saskatoon Selects Blue 9-0 and the Moose Jaw Ice 8-1 to finish up the round robin; and then downed the Regina Royals 15-0 and the White Butte Storm 6-1 in the playoff round to qualify for the gold medal game.
In the provincial championship final, they came out on top with a 9-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Ice.
