The Warman RCMP are seeking the owner(s) of a stolen coin collection, golden pocket watch, insect brooch and a variety of rings that was recovered as part of a December 2023 investigation.
According to a release, the RCMP have tried to find the owner or owners as part of their investigation and are now asking the public for assistance. They believe the items likely originated in central Saskatchewan.
“We all have possessions that mean a lot to us, and for someone, these items might hold that same significance,” said Warman RCMP Staff Sgt. Jason Teniuk.
“Please take a moment to look at the photos, and if you recognize anything, let us know. If you see this on social media, please share it.”
The release states the coin collection includes a number of Canadian and foreign coins, including 100th anniversary and special edition coins. Some appear to date back to 1910.
The gold pocket watch is apparently an antique, while the rings are of various sizes, shapes and materials. Some of them include gemstones.
“Some of the rings have an inscription on them, allowing us to confirm ownership when someone comes forward to claim them,” said Teniuk.
If you recognize these items, please contact the RCMP at 310-RCMP (7267). Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
