The City of Warman and City Council continued the presentation of the 2024 Volunteer Appreciation Awards with today’s presentation of the Group of the Year award.
This is awarded yearly to a club with three or more members, whose efforts have significantly contributed to Warman’s quality of life through recreational sports, arts and culture, environmental leadership or community and social services.
The major focus of this award involved volunteer efforts made during the 2024 calendar year.
Congratulations to Warman Arts Centre, recipient of the Group of the Year award!
The Warman Arts Centre is run entirely by volunteers. It is an inclusive, inviting space that fosters creativity, learning, community engagement and is a unique option for improving mental health and well-being.
It is a gallery that also offers workshops and classes….and, with the pledge and desire to give back to the community, the Arts Centre ensures that the classes being offered are low-cost and affordable.
The Warman Arts Centre is a community of like-minded, creative people. It is an outlet for such creative people, it is an outlet for the sharing of first nation art, and it is a great outlet for those who don’t necessarily play sports.
One of the great benefits of the Warman Arts Centre is that the organization collaborates with local artists while providing a venue to showcase the work of those artists. A big highlight event that the Arts Centre puts on is the Community Art Show….which is a show where anyone, any age can display their artwork for free.
Warman City Council congratulates the awesome team of volunteers at the Warman Arts Centre on being the deserving recipients of the 2024 Group of the Year award.
