By CHIEF RON CHOMYN, Corman Park Police Service

Spring road restrictions will begin soon after the winter weight allowances are removed.

These road bans reduce allowable weights on RM secondary weight provincial highways by 10 to 15 per cent and typically last about six weeks.

Road bans typically begin in March and run for six weeks, ending in late April to early May. The bans only impact secondary weight roadways and not primary roadways such at the CTP roads within the RM

Truckers are advised to monitor their loads and watch for restrictions during this period as overweight fines can be quite costly. The RM follows the posted restrictions at saskatchewan.ca/truckingweights and at www.saskatchewan.ca/highwayhotline.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact the RM of Corman Park office or the Corman Park Police service.
