Our area will be well represented at the 2025 HOOPLA scheduled for March 20-22 in Saskatoon.

Clavet, Waldheim, and Saskatoon Christian School all punched their ticket to the provincial basketball championships with strong showings in regional tournaments last weekend. 

Clavet hosted a 3A Boys regional tournament with Regina Huda, Fort Qu’Appelle and Chief John Keenatch. They opened the tournament on Friday, March 14 with a dominant 119-34 win over Chief John Keenatch and defeated Fort Qu’Appelle 87-48 in the Saturday final. They will play Oxbow in their HOOPLA semifinal game.

Waldhein travelled to Unity for their 3A Boys regional tournament that also included Maple Creek and Esterhazy. They defeated Esterhazy 94-55 on Friday night and the host Unity 72-50 in the Saturday final. They will have their work cut out at HOOPLA as they will take on the number one ranked Regina Christian School in their semifinal game.

Saskatoon Christian School hosted a 2A Boys regional tournament with Langham, Ministikwan and Rocanville. They defeated Langham 92-34 on Friday night and Ministikwan 72-48 in Saturday’s final. They will play Norquay at their HOOPLA semifinal game. LCBI and St. Brieux will square off in the other 2A Boys semifinal game.
