Provincial hockey playoffs are heating up as teams continue their quest to be recognized as the best in the province. Several area teams are among those still involved in the playdowns.

In U13D play the Clavet Cougars advanced, defeating the Muenster Flyers 4-3, 8-3. The Delisle Bruins dominated the Watson Rockets 11-2, 10-2. Clavet and Delisle now square off in the northern semi-final. Clavet defeated Delisle 7-3 in game one in Delisle February 23 . Game two is slated for Clavet on March 1.

In U13B Female playoffs, Clavet advanced to the northern semifinals by taking down the  Big River Nations Rangers 9-1, 2-2. They played the Western Prairie Mohawks in Clavet on February 23, with the Mohawks winning that game by a score of 8-0. Clavet travels to Macklin for game two on March 2.

In U13A Female playoffs, the Martensville Mavens defeated the Rosthern Renegades 5-3 in the game played at the Martensville Sports Centre on Friday, February 21. Game two is in Rosthern on February 26. The winner of this series will take on Warman.

In U15D playoffs, the Clavet Cougars defeated the Dodsland Stars 10-6, 8-1 to advance to the northern semifinal against Edam. Clavet won the first game in Edam by a score of 6-5 on February 22, with game two in Clavet on March 2.

In U15B playoffs, the Hague Royals defeated Kindersley 6-1, 8-0 and will play the Unity Lazers. Game one is in Unity February 28 and game two is in Hague March 2.

In U15A playoffs, the Delisle Bruins won game one 4-3 over the Battleford Barons on February 19. Game two will be in Delisle on February 28.

Also in U15A playoffs, the Warman Lynx face off against the  Martensville Marauders Villians in Martensville on February 25 and will host game two on March 1.

In U18C play, the Aberdeen Flames hosted the Turtleford Tigers on February 22 (score unavailable) and game two will be in Turtleford March 1.

In U18A playoffs, the Warman Wildcats lost 11-0 to  the Meadow Lake Stampeders February 23 on the Flying Dust First Nation. They will host game two in Warman on February 28.

The Delisle Bruins advanced in Senior D with dominant 10-2, 10-1 wins over the Perdue Pirates. They are  taking on the Lucky Lake Lakers in round two. Delisle won Game one in Lucky Lake by a score of 6-4 on February 23. Delisle will host game two on March 1. Game three if necessary will be in Beechy.
