Registrations for the Sask Valley Music Festival (SVMF) are now being accepted, while the registration deadline for the Twin Rivers Music Festival (TWMF) is fast drawing to a close.
The SVMF runs March 25 through April 2 in Waldheim and Rosthern, with the final awards concert on April 4 in Waldheim. The SVMF registration period runs opened Wednesday, January 15 and is due to close on Wednesday, February 5.
The TRMF, meanwhile, runs from March 13-21 in Martensville and Dalmeny, with the final awards concert on March 23. The TRMF began accepting registrations January 7, with the final deadline for registration on Friday, January 17. No late entiries will be accepted.
The SVMF is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2025. It was was established in 1940 and originally encompassed the communities of Rosthern, Duck Lake, Carlton, Hague, laird, Waldheim, Hepburn, Osler, Warman and Dalmeny.
Currently, the SVMF district includes: Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation, Blaine Lake, Cudworth, Duck Lake, Hafford, Hague, Laird, Martensville, Neuanlage, One Arrow Cree Nation, Osler, Rosthern, Saint Isidore-de-Bellevue, Wakaw, Waldheim and Warman.
The TRMF was established in 2001 to accommodate the growing communities near Saskatoon. It currently attracts participants from Warman, Osler, Martensville, Dalmeny, Langham, Vonda, Aberdeen, Vanscoy, Grandora, Delisle, Perdue, Asquith and Langham.
