The growth and success of female hockey in our area has been amazing. There is no greater evidence than the performance of the Warman U13A Wildcats and the Warman U3AA Wildcats in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League.

The U13A team finished on top of the North West division with a record of 16 wins and two losses. They went undefeated in the playoffs, defeating the Western Prairie Wildcats 4-0, 3-1 in round one and the Moose Jaw Mavericks 4-2 6-3 in the semi-finals.

In the championship round they handily defeated Balcarres 8-1 in the first game in Warman and travelled to Balcarres on Saturday, March 23, where they sealed the provincial title with an exciting 2-1 win.

The U13AA team finished on top of the North Division regular season standings with 24 wins, one loss and three ties.

They were also undefeated in playoff action, defeating Prince Albert 7-2, 2-0 in round one and the Saskatoon Comet Hurricanes 4-3,4-3 in the semi-finals.

They faced the Regina Rebels Black team in the championship round. After winning game one 4-3 in Warman they captured the provincial title when Ella Wotherspoon netted the overtime winner in a 3-2 win in Regina on Sunday, March 24.
