It is with heavy hearts we share the news that our brother Ken passed away in his sleep February 19, 2024, at the age of 65.
Ken grew up on the family farm north of Alameda, Saskatchewan, where he loved to tinker and experiment with all things mechanical. This led to a lifelong love of cars and drag racing. His quiet demeanour hid a generous heart. He spent many hours fixing cars for friends and family, often refusing to take anything in return. Nature was something else Ken enjoyed, whether it was growing a garden (especially cucumbers), or playing with furry animals, who often gravitated to him.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Dorothy. He is survived by his brothers
Rob (Rebekah) and Willie (Yvonne); sisters Dorothy (Ken) and Ellie (Kelly). Also survived by nephew Ryan (Mandi), Nieces Alyssa (Trevor and Leah, as well as grandnieces Merida and Mikaela.
We are very grateful for the help Ken received from the Kidney Health Team at St.
Paul’s Hospital, and his friends and neighbours that befriended him for many years. Special thanks to Henry, Sid and Jonathan.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
