The Warman U18B Lions overcame a two-goal deficit in the championship game to defeat the Clavet Cougars 4-3 in a shootout to win the A-side of the Saskatoon Redwing Hurricanes tournament at Canlan Jemini Arenas on Sunday, January 28. The Lions shutout the Regina Royals 8-0 and downed the Regina Blues 6-2 to earn their way to the title game. Down 3-1 with time ticking away in the third period, the Lions scored twice to knot the game up 3-3 before Colton Beierle buried the shootout winner while Warman goaltender Tristen Silvernagle turned aside the Clavet shooter to seal the win.
