THe Warman U18AA Female Wildcats in action against the North East Aces

In a weekend that highlighted female hockey, no one shone brighter than Ella Stow of the U18AA Wildcats.

In the opening game of the weekend celebration on Friday the talented sniper scored three goals and added two assists in a 5-3 win over the North East Aces.

On Sunday, in a game played at Diamond Arena, Stow scored all three goals, including the overtime winner in an exciting 3-2 win over Notre Dame.

Warman U13AA Female Wildcats battled the Saskatoon Comet Hurricanes

In Saturday action, the Saskatoon Comet Hurricanes handed the Warman U13AA Wildcats their first loss of the season with a 5-2 win.

In game two the Saskatoon Comet Impact and the Warman U15AA Wildcats squared off in a real barn burner, with Warman outshooting Saskatoon 36-31. Saskatoon pulled off a come-from-behind 4-3 win.

In Saturday’s final game the Saskatoon Comet Predators scored two power play goals in a 5-0 in over the Warman U18 Wildcats.

The feature game of the weekend saw the U18 Saskatoon Stars play the Prince Albert Mann-Northway Bears on Sunday evening at the Warman Home Centre Communiplex.

Both starting goaltenders, the Bears’ Annika Neufeld (Waldheim) and Stars’ Mikayla Christmann (Warman) were Warman Wildcats alumni. Christmann made 23 saves in a 4-1 Saskatoon win. Neufeld was spectacular, keeping the Bears in the game with 39 saves. Wildcats alumni also played key roles in the scoring. Kolbee Ashe (Warman) assisted on Saskatoon’s first goal. Mikiya Anderson (Warman) had an assist on Prince Albert’s lone goal.
