Some area AA teams are cutting through the opposition as they work towards a championship season.

15AA Male

This newly-formed league was established to give another pathway for players to continue developing their skills with the goal of playing U18AAA in the following years. The Martensville Maraudars have proven to be the class of this eight-team league, sitting at the top with 11 wins, one loss and one overtime loss. Chance Regush is tied for the league scoring lead with 13 goals and 15 assists. He is one of five Marauders in the top 8 league scorers.

U13AA Male

Warman is tied for first in  the North Division with seven wins and one loss. Kobe Pellack is among the top scorers with 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in eight games.

U15AA Male

The Martensville Marauders are in third place with seven wins, three losses and one overtime loss for 15 points. Dade Witherspoon is among the league leaders with 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points in 9 games.

U13AA Female

The Warman U13AA Female Wildcats hit the ice running by winning a prestigious tournament at the start of the season and haven’t looked back. They sit at the top of the North Division of the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League with a perfect 10-0 record. Forward Hannah Weseen leads the way with 19 goals and 8 assists in her first nine games.

U15AA Female

The Warman U15AA Wildcats are in third place in the Northern standings with seven wins and five losses. Sadie Green leads the team with 15 goals and 15 assists in 12 games. Her 30 points is only one off the league lead.

U18AA Female

The Warman U18AA Wildcats are in first place in the North standings with seven wins, two ties and two losses. Ella Stow leads the league in scoring with 10 goals.

Pack the Barn

The 3rd Annual ‘Pack the Barn! A Celebration of Female Hockey’ is slated for December 15-17 at the Warman Home Centre Communiplex.

The weekend starts on Friday with the U18 Wildcats playing the North East Aces. Saturday the U13AA, U15AA and U18A teams will play their corresponding Saskatoon Comets teams.

On Sunday the U18 Wildcats play the Notre Dame Hounds in the afternoon. The weekend will culminate with a U18AAA game between the Saskatoon Stars and the Mann-Northway Northern Bears.

AA hockey allows for the development of athletes in a competitive league, acting as a feeder system for elite hockey. The AAA game will feature players from our area who developed through the AA Wildcats. For the Stars that includes Kolbee Ashe, Reese Dyky and Mikayla Christmann. For the Northern Bears that includes Mikiya Anderson, Addison Davidge and Annika Neufeldt.
