Medavie Health Services West is looking for some public assistance for an incident that took place on the morning of Sunday, November 12 between 5:50 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.
“While on scene for a serious patient the driver side window of our ambulance was smashed out,” said Medavie Health Services Public Affairs Director Troy Davies. “The ambulance was parked on 20th street between 2nd and 3rd Ave. Paramedics had to transport the patient with the smashed out window to RUH as the patient was in serious condition and couldn’t be delayed for a new ambulance.
“We are asking for anyone who has information on this incident to contact Saskatoon Police Services” added Davies. “Thankfully, due to some favourable weather conditions this did not affect our ability to treat a very serious patient, but this is a stressor that paramedics shouldn’t be dealing with.”
