Defensively the players executed their game plan to perfection, holding a Rosetown team that had averaged 62 points a game to only 24 points. Defensive Coordinator Brendan O’Reilly was pleased with his squad’s effort.

“We felt if we could hold them to a touchdown a quarter we would win the game. The guys came out and did that,” said O’Reilly. “It was a team effort for sure. Everyone was doing a great job today. Our offence really took the pressure off. There were some incredible deep passes.”

The Cougars will travel to Watrous for the provincial final on Saturday, November 11. Watrous advanced to the final with an exciting 60-52 win over Wakaw in the other provincial semi-final.
