The draw for winners of the annual KidSport fundraising raffle was held Saturday, September 16.
The winners are:
* Grand Prize Playhouse: John Bonk from Kinistino
* Cabellas Gift Card: Harrison Kleinsasser from Martensville
* Local Gift Package: Sandra Harron from Martensville
Martensville KidSport Coordinator Angela Reddekopp said organizers are very happy with this year’s Kidsport campaign, which brought in approximately $11,000.
“We struggled with ticket sellers at the beginning of the campaign but we rallied together and are very happy with where we ended up,” said Reddekopp. “We would like to thank all of our sponsors; Richard Reimer Realty, Martensville A & W, Martensville Building & Home Supply, the Clarks’ Crossing Gazette, Brad’s Towing, as well as Marty Goertzen for the construction of the Playhouse.”
The local KidSport organization’s next fundraisers include: a Roughrider Bus Trip on October 7 and on November 4, a Fall Fun-Raiser which includes supper, and local Magician Matt Gore, and the Ginger Ninja as entertainment.
Reddekopp said currently in 2023 the charity has helped support 50 kids in Martensville, totaling over $20,000.
“Your support is the only way we can keep these kids playing the sports they love,” said Reddekopp. “Thank you very much to the community for your continued support towards KidSport.”
