One man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries during the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 11 following a single-vehicle collision in Martensville.
Martensville Fire Chief Kurtis Dyck said a southbound vehicle collided with the concrete meridian at the intersection of Centennial Drive North and Third Street North at 12:45 a.m. on April 11.
The vehicle rolled several times. Fortunately, firefighters did not have to use extrication tools to remove the male driver (the lone occupant) from the vehicle.
Martensville Fire Department, Martensville RCMP, and Medavie Health Services West ambulance paramedics responded to the incident.
The patient was transported to hospital by ambulance. The ambulance was able to respond from the current temporary ambulance base located in the Martensville Fire Hall. Construction on a permanent regional ambulance base completed later this year on Centennial Drive North in Martensville.
Martensville Fire Department personnel remained on scene to clean up debris from the collision.
RCMP are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
