The Prairie Sky Business Excellence Awards ceremony in Martensville last weekend honoured the hard work and dedication of area entrepreneurs.

The North Ridge Centennial Community Centre was filled to capacity on Saturday, May 7 as the awards ceremony was held in person for the first time in two years.

Warman Farmers Market earned the award for Non-profit of the Year. Other finalists in the category included: Martensvile and District Lions Club, Martensville Farmers Market, and Martensville Free Pantry.

Dahlia Salon took top honours in the Employer of the Year category. Other finalists were: Lakeview Insurance, Legends Pharmacy, Warman Home Centre LP, and Zak’s Home Hardware.

Zak’s Home Harware won the award for Community Involvement. Other finalists in the category included: Atlas Outdoors, Legends Pharmacy, McDowell Martial Arts, and Warman Home Centre.

Warman Homes took home the award for Customer Service. The other finalists were: Bo’s Pet Service, Breathe Better Specialists, Dahlia Salon, and Pretty Little Pieces.

Pretty Little Pieces was named the winner in the Business Marketing category. Other finalists included: Carter’s Counselling, Dahlia Salon, Rave BBQ Rubs, and Team Iron Elles.

Laserology won the award for New Business of the Year. Runners-up included: Austin Reimer-REMAX, Darling Creations, Rave BBQ Rubs, and Reign Academy.

Lakeview Insurance won the prestigious Business of the Year award. Other finalists were: Legends Pharmacy,  Prairie ICF, Warman Home Centre LP, and Zak’s Home Hardware.

The celebration of business excellence was initiated in 2016 by the Warman and Martensville Chambers of Commerce, and was known as the Warman-Martensville Business Excellence Awards. The two organizations later merged to form the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce.
