The Central Valley Volleyball Clubs had a very strong showing at the Provincial Volleyball Championships last weekend, with men’s and women’s teams reaching the championship games.
The 14U Men Indoor Provincials were held at the Legends Centre in Warman on April 23-24. The event featured 13 of the best teams from across the province.
The Estevan Extreme are the 14U Men Provincial Champions. The Extreme topped the Warman CVVC Vikings in three sets Sunday, winning 26-24, 23-25, 15-9 in the final.
The hometown Vikings battled hard all weekend defeating CVVC Spartans 25-17,17-25, 15-10;BVC Power 22-25, 25-18, 15-9; Sundogs Black 25-17, 21-25, 15-13: JCVC Black 25-12, 25-12; PAVC Black 25-23, 25-22; PAVC Gold 25-20, 25-21. Their only loss in pool play was to the Estevan Extreme 22-25, 29-31.
The Prince Albert Volleyball Club Smashing Bananas Gold took Bronze after a comeback 11-25, 26-24, 15-8 win over the Regina Volleyball Club Green.

Division 1
he Regina QCVC Royal Purple were crowned Provincial Champions on Sunday, after a 25-16, 21-25, 15-9 victory over the Warman CVVC Team A. Bronze medals went to Rose Valley VC after a 26-28, 25-21, 15-5 win over the Humboldt Hustlers.
Humboldt entered Provincial undefeated, and had won their first four games on the weekend, before QCVC Royal Purple up-ended the #1 seed in one of the semi-finals 24-26, 26-24, 15-12.
Division 2
he Estevan Extreme claimed Gold after a 25-18, 25-23 win over the Prince Albert Optimist Toppers Esprit, while the Yorkton Blitz edged the Saskatoon JCVC Black 20-25, 25-14, 15-12 for Bronze.

The 14U Women Indoor Provincials in Saskatoon was featuring 34 teams from across the province.
Division 1
he Saskatoon HVC Premier 14U defeated the Sask Stealth Echo 25-6, 25-12 to capture Division 1 Gold at the 14U Women Provincial Championships on Sunday. HVC completed an undefeated season in Sask Cup and Provincial play, going 24-0 in all matches and only losing one set.
The Battleford VC Blaze took Bronze after a 25-15, 25-17 win over the Swift Current Junior Sundogs Black.
Division 2
he Yorkton Blitz Elite took home Gold after defeating the Prince Albert Optimist Toppers En Fuego 25-19, 27-25, while the Estevan Extreme beat the Saskatoon JCVC Black 25-10, 25-22 for Bronze.
Division 3
he Summit VC Red edged the Lanigan VC 31-29, 17-25, 15-13 for Gold, and the Saskatoon HVC Elite came back to defeat the Yorkton Blitz Red 21-25, 25-16, 15-13
