The quest to advance to high school volleyball provincials began this past weekend with the girls competing in conference play.

2A Girls Conference 1 in Wakaw

Hague, Stobart, Rosthern, Waldheim, Hepburn and Wakaw competed.

Wakaw advanced to final  25-16, 25-12 over Rosthern.

Hepburn advanced to final 25-15, 25-15 over Hague

Wakaw defeated Hepburn 25-13, 25-8 in championship game

2A Girls Conference 2 in Langham

Davidson, Saskatoon Christian, Ecole Canadienne(ECF), Hanley, Colonsay, Asquith and Langham competed.

Davidson advanced to final 25-21, 25-14 over Hanley

Langham advanced to final 25-22, 25-19 over ECF

Davidson defeated Langham 25-16, 25-15 in championship game

3A Girls Conference 1  in Unity

Delisle finished third with 25-16, 25-23 win over Biggar and 25-19, 12-25, 15-6 over Makwa. Losses to Lashburn and Unity.

3A Girls Conference 2  in Watrous

Dalmeny took first place with four wins; 25-11, 26-24 over Clavet, 25-15, 25-19 over Watrous, 25-22, 9-25, 15-12 over Lanigan, 25-19, 25-15 over Kelvington

REGIONALS SLATED:

Several area schools  have advanced to the regional tournaments to be held on November 12-13.

2A Girls volleyball

Hepburn and Langham will be playing in Outlook at LCBI.

3A Girls volleyball

Dalmeny and RJC will be playing in Lanigan.

Delisle will be playing in Rosetown.

4A Girls volleyball

Martensville is slated to compete at Marion Graham(Saskatoon).

5A Girls volleyball

Warman to compete  at P.A. St. Mary.

The girls provincial tournaments are set for November 19/20

Boys high school volleyball teams will begin conference play this weekend, with regional tournaments  set for November 19/20.  The provincial tournaments will be November 26/27
