Sasktoon man Shawn Wiebe, who was the subject of a Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) missing persons investigation has been located deceased.
On October 9, the RCMP Saskatoon Detachment was notified about a deceased person in the South Saskatchewan River. According to police, after an autopsy was conducted on October 14 it was confirmed the deceased’s identity was the 46-year-old Wiebe.
Wiebe was last seen in Saskatoon on September 22, and police said they do not believe foul play was involved in his death.
The investigation will be continued by the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
