Due to a substantial increase in COVID-19 transmission in Saskatoon and surrounding area, including recent exposures in Long-Term Care settings, all Long-Term Care homes in Saskatoon and surrounding communities will be required to increase family presence restrictions and move from Recovery Phase to Level 1 on Thursday, September 9 at 8 a.m.
The levels of family presence will continue to be reviewed in Saskatoon weekly and safety indicators will be closely monitored with the goal of returning to Recovery Phase family presence as soon as it is safe to do so.
At Level 1 family presence:
* Each resident can designate two essential family/support persons. One person can be present at a time indoors.
* There is no limit on persons present at a time outdoors.
* For end-of-life or palliative care, more than two essential family/support persons can be designated and two essential family/support persons can be present at the same time.
