Warman City Councillors will be holding a special meeting on Thursday, September 2 to discuss whether mandatory masking should be required in all civic facilities.
The meeting will also discuss requirements for staff and the public who are and are not fully vaccinated.
Warman Mayor Gary Philipchuk issued a call for the special meeting on Tuesday, August 31. The meeting is slated to take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 2 in Warman City Council chambers, in Warman City Hall. A notice issued by the City of Warman on August 31 indicated that the public is welcome to attend the meeting. However, anyone who wishes to attend this event must be wearing a mask in order to be allowed entry.
The Warman City Council meeting follows a decision by Saskatoon City Council at a meeting on Monday, August 30 to require mandatory masking at all civic facilities in Saskatoon. The City of Saskatoon is also requiring all its civic employees to be tested for COVID-19.
