The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is warning the public about an increased risk of COVID-19 exposure at Gruenthal Church, southwest of Hague.
At least one person attended the church while infectious on April 11, 18, 21 and 25. Individuals who attended the church on those dates must immediately self-isolate and contact HealthLine 811, their physician or nurse practitioner to arrange for a COVID-19 test, even if asymptomatic (have not developed symptoms).
The church’s reverend, Kelly Hildebrandt, said they have been properly following the COVID-19 guidelines set for places of worship. He also said that the SHA has inspected the facially and indicated the church is doing what it’s supposed to do, in regards to COVID-19 protocols.
The Sunday morning services on May 2 and May 9 along with the Wednesday evening services on May 5 and May 12 has been cancelled. Hildebrandt said the services have been canceled for the safety of the church’s congregation.
