Debbie Brown has been named the new Executive-Director of the Prairie Sky Chamber of Commerce (PSCC) .

Brown takes over the position from Jaimie Malmgren, who stepped down earlier this month.

Brown will begin work with the Chamber May 3.

“We are thrilled that Debbie will be taking the helm of the Chamber,” said PSCC Board of Directors Chair Jaime Holowaty. “Debbie emerged from a rich pool of highly qualified candidates, and we feel fortunate to have her.

“The Chamber Board has full confidence that she will take us to amazing new heights while standing on the shoulders of past leadership.”

Brown has spent over 10 years in leadership positions in program management,marketing, education and economic development.

She holds designations in both Management and Public Relations as well as accreditation in Residential Management.

“I have a strong passion for economic development and see unlimitedopportunities for Saskatchewan in the near future.” stated Brown.

“My vision for the Prairie Sky Chamber is to be an essential resource for local businesses and governing bodies as we develop and grow to meet the needs of the community and the province.”

Brown will utilize her extensive experience to lead the Chamber and its members in exploring new opportunities to unite businesses throughout the Warman and Martensville region in establishing economic growth, and policy initiatives all designed to help the region continue to shape its future.
