Fire crews from Pike Lake and Montrose fire stations were called out to battle a wildfire on Sherbrooke Trail near Pike Lake on Wednesday afternoon, April 7.
The Delisle and District Fire Department issued a notice that the RM of Vansocy is now under a fire ban effective Wednesday, April 7. The fire ban is in effect until further notice. The RM of Great Bend, Mayfield, Rosthern, Corman Park are also under fire bans.
The Delisle and District Fire Department noted the Town of Delisle, Village of Vanscoy and hamlets are exempt at this time. Its extremely dry, be smart, be safe.
