Adam Tittemore

After serving eight years as Administrator for the RM of Corman Park, Adam Tittemore has accepted a new role as City Clerk with the City of Saskatoon.

Tittemore’s last day at the RM of Corman Park office is Wednesday, April 14. His first day on the job with the City of Saskatoon is Thursday, April 15.

“It’s a bit of a bittersweet time,” said Tittemore in an interview March 17. “It’s exciting to have this new opportunity and challenge, but I will certainly miss the council and staff here at the Corman Park office and I’ll miss meeting with ratepayers.”

Tittemore said he was approached recently by the City of Saskatoon about making a career move. He noted it was an attractive offer because it allows him and his young family to remain in the region. They currently reside in Warman.

Tittemore said he is leaving the RM on good terms.

He added his new position involves overseeing the city’s governance and elections. He said his priorities include ensuring the organization is transparent and accountable to the public.

Corman Park Reeve Judy Harwood said the municipality will miss Tittemore’s guiding hand at the helm of the administrative office.

“I really do feel like I’ve lost my right arm,” said Harwood. “Adam has done a tremendous job and he’ll be hard to replace. We wish him all the best. This is a tremendous opportunity for him.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have Adam as long as we have.

“It’s ironic, but I remember several years ago when I first became Reeve, I said to Adam, ‘one day you’ll be managing the City of Saskatoon.’

“I just didn’t think it would be this soon.”

Harwood said the RM is currently looking for a new Administrator. In the meantime, the RM Chief Financial Officer, Craig Clements, is expected to step in as Interim Administrator in addition to his regular duties.

“I have a feeling we could be two or three months without an Adminstrator,” said Harwood. “We have a corporate headhunter looking for suitable candidates now.

“The Administrator plays a critical role in the organization, and even when we come up with a shortlist of candidates, there’s still a good chance it could be up to six weeks before a qualified individual is able to step into the role.”

Harwood said the RM is in good shape financially and operationally, and expects to get through the transitional period without any major problems.
